BENGALURU: IndiGo Airlines’ flight cancellations continued for the fiftth day on Saturday, causing chaos at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Airport. Hundreds of flights have been cancelled, leaving passengers stranded across the country.
On Saturday, 37 IndiGo flights were cancelled at KIA while 11 flights departed in the morning, providing some relief to stranded passengers. At the airport, long queues were seen at the IndiGo counter, with passengers waiting to rebook or flight their flights.
Three youths from Shivamogga, Nayaz Khan, Ayaz, and Suhel, were among those stranded at the airport. They had arrived in Bengaluru from Delhi five days ago, but were still waiting for their luggage. “It’s been 5 days, and we still don’t have our luggage. We’re frustrated with Indigo Airlines,” they said.
