Chandigarh has adopted the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Act, easing compliance for small businesses. Establishments with up to 20 workers are now exempt from most provisions, while those with more than 20 employees will receive registration approval within 24 hours, streamlining the process and reducing the 'Inspector Raj'.
