The pride of the MAC is on the line this Saturday when the conference championship gets underway. With a season full of Tuesday and Wednesday night action, a champion will be crowned.

The Western Michigan Broncos (8-4) and the Miami (OH) RedHawks (7-5) play for all the marbles from Ford Field, the home of the Detroit Lions, in Detroit, Michigan, for the chance to hoist the MAC trophy.

Miami (OH) doesn't score the ball very well, either, although the offense is slightly better than the Broncos. The RedHawks need to find a way to throw the ball, as Western Michigan has been suffocating against the run in MAC play.

Miami (OH) needs to find it in the passing game, but that could be tough sledding as the RedHawks have gone through three quarterbacks this season, and suddenly finding success in the conference championship game is a lot easier said than done.

Western Michigan is going to give the ball to the dual-threat QB Broc Lowry (1,572 passing yards, 875 rushing yards, 21 total touchdowns) to go win this game, and he is talented enough that he can find just enough space to do it against a Miami (OH) defense that has been stout against the run, allowing only 118 yards per game at 3.6 yards per rush.
