A bride missed her honeymoon after falling from her hotel room window on her wedding night, the High Court in Ireland heard.
Jackie Sexton (nee Tyrrell) took the case against Deebert House Hotel Ltd, Kilmallock, Co Limerick following the incident, which occurred on her wedding day , February 29, 2020. The court heard how she suffered fractured ribs, a collapsed lung and injuries to her back, leg, hip and pelvic bone.
The hotel denied liability for the fall and fully contested the claim, saying it had properly fitted the windows in the hotel with restrictors in 2014 and was in full compliance with building standards.
