Carleah Summers had a 10-month-old baby boy when she embarked on the daunting path to sobriety in 2006. She had grown up with a drug-addicted parent and didn’t want her son to experience the same thing.

Summers’ mother kept her son while Summers went into treatment, and then she began to rebuild her life.
