Ever since his arrest three years ago, Mark Sierkowski has fought the drug addiction that brought him back to court.
On Friday, he sat quietly beside his defence lawyer in a London courtroom, dressed in a suit and with his hands clasped in front of him. Superior Court Justice Evelyn ten Cate was told he has been clean throughout his six months in custody and 2 1/2 years on strict bail.
But he still had to take responsibility for the events on Nov. 25, 2022, when he and Aaron Schulyer, 40, who is serving a seven-year prison sentence for a spate of charges related to the incident, wanted to score some fentanyl at an east London motel.
