Despite a club-record 52-point turnaround under Walters in his first season with the Spitfires in 2024-25, the club failed to gain a win in three tries against the London Knights. Article content Article content
“It’s a tough place to win,” Walters said. “We won all three against them at home, but lost all three (in London).”
On Friday, the Spitfires snapped a six-game losing streak in London with a 4-1 win over the Knights for the club’s first road win there since the end of the 2022-23 season on March 24.
“They always have good teams, they’re well coached and competitive with great goaltending,” Walters said. “That was a really good win for us.”
