An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed by police in Manchester Saturday morning, according to a statement from the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.

The incident occurred after police responded to the area of South Mammoth Road in Manchester for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

A pursuit then ensued, which ended with the vehicle crashing and a man fleeing the scene, according to the statement.

Police then found and shot the man in the area of 293 South Mammoth Road, authorities said.

Life-saving measures were performed, and the man was brought to a hospital where he later died, according to the statement.

An autopsy is being scheduled. The man’s identity will be released once it is completed, according to the statement.
