Mexico's Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz will face American Lamont Roach for the World Boxing Council super lightweight title on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Frost Bank Center. The event is promoted by Premier Boxing Champions.
Who is Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz?
Cruz, who is from Mexico City, owns a 28-3-1 record with 18 knockouts. He became world champion in March 2024, claiming the WBA super lightweight title.
Recently, Cruz rebounded from a loss to Jose Valenzuela by defeating countryman Angel Fierro before earning a unanimous decision over Omar Salcido in July. Cruz lost a close decision to unbeaten Gervonta "Tank" Davis for the World Boxing Association lightweight title in 2021.
