Christian Slater says that concentrating on what really matters most in life is the secret to handling the constant ups and downs of Hollywood.

“Friends [and] family,” he told Page Six exclusively at the 2025 Gotham Awards earlier this week. “I definitely love focusing on my family.”

The “Mr. Robot” alum, 56, who has four kids — Jaden, 26, and Eliana, 24, with ex-wife Ryan Haddon; and Lena, 6, and a son, 1, with wife Brittany Lopez — says that putting his children first keeps his priorities straight.

Telling us that being a father is “wonderful,” he shared, “I know that when I’m at the end of this journey, I’m not going to say, ‘Oh, I wish I had done this. I wish I had done that.’ I’ll be like, ‘I’m so glad I spent all this time with my kids.'”
