New Delhi: India and the United States will open three days of discussions in New Delhi on December 10 as both nations attempt to move closer to the first phase of a long-planned bilateral trade agreement. Officials involved in the preparations say the round will be informal but strategically important, offering both sides an opportunity to narrow tariff disputes and identify areas of early convergence.
A senior source as per a PTI report, confirmed that “the three-day talks will start on December 10. It will conclude on December 12, and it is not a formal round of talks.” The American delegation will be headed by Deputy United States Trade Representative Rick Switzer.
