The NHS has issued a public health warning, advising people to consult their GP if they notice they are looking unusually pale, particularly if this is accompanied by other symptoms. This caution is related to acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), a type of blood cancer which progresses quickly and aggressively and typically needs immediate treatment .
