The meeting coincided with the 40th anniversary of the SAARC Charter, a milestone celebrated across the South Asian region. Yadav emphasized Nepal's commitment to SAARC's principles, expressing the nation's aspiration for SAARC to effectively drive economic growth and social progress.
Sarwar also announced plans to host a reception in Kathmandu on December 9 to commemorate the Charter's adoption and expressed hope for consensus among member states to hold the next SAARC Summit soon.
