A brief scuffle broke out between passengers at Lucknow Airport on Saturday as frustration continued to rise amid IndiGo’s ongoing mass cancellations. Videos from the terminal showed travellers arguing and pushing one another while waiting for updates on their flights.

Airport staff and security personnel intervened to calm the situation, as long queues and repeated delays tested the patience of stranded passengers.

Airfares Capped After Sharp Spike

Amid the disruption, the government stepped in to address soaring airfares on affected routes. Officials announced that ticket prices would remain capped between Rs 7,500 and Rs 18,000, depending on the flight distance. The decision was taken to prevent overcharging during a period when thousands of travellers were struggling to secure seats
