LOS ANGELES (CNN) - A Disneyland superfan is gearing up to hit a milestone most park guests could never imagine.

Jon Hale plans to make ride No. 15,000 on Radiator Springs Racers on Monday.

He calls the “Cars” attraction his happy place and documents every ride in a detailed notebook.

His love for the ride began in 2012 after he had major weight-loss surgery, losing 150 pounds and two knee replacements.

He reached 10,000 rides in 2017, a feat that took more than five years.
