A heartbroken Scots family are desperately fundraising to give their “bright and funny” 10-year-old daughter a final chance of survival after her cancer became too aggressive for treatment in the UK. ‌

Little Sophia Wilson, from Sauchen, Aberdeenshire , was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) in July this year, a moment her devastated parents say “crumbled” their world. ‌

Despite months of gruelling treatment, the youngster showed remarkable resilience and early signs of improvement — giving her family hope that she was winning her fight. But that hope was crushed last week when specialists told them Sophia’s leukaemia had become extremely aggressive. ‌
