A man has died after being found injured on a Scots street. ‌

Emergency services raced to the incident on Glasgow Road in Wishaw after receiving the alarm at 11.05am on Saturday. ‌

Crews attended and the man, aged 69, was raced to hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead on arrival. ‌

Police say his death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing. ‌

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.05am on Saturday, 6 December, we received a report of a man found injured on Glasgow Road in Wishaw.

“Emergency services attended. The 69-year-old man was taken to hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
