MEXICO CITY, Mexico — Eduardo Manzano, renowned Mexican comedian, actor and one half of the famed comedy duo Los Polivoces, died Thursday at 87, Dallas News reported .
According to Milenio , Manzano was born July 18, 1938, in Mexico City, and rose to prominence in the 1960s and ’70s alongside partner Enrique Cuenca. Together they brought to life a string of characters, such as “Agallón Mafafas” and “Gordolfo Gelatino,” that made “Los Polivoces” a household name across Mexico and Latin America.
Dallas News said after the duo disbanded, Manzano continued a career spanning television, film, theater and voice work. He was best known for playing “Don Arnoldo” in the long-running sitcom Una familia de diez, a role he held well into recent years.
