INDIANAPOLIS — Pat Kelsey 's first signature win as Louisville basketball 's coach was a blowout of then-No. 15 Indiana in the opening round of last year's Battle 4 Atlantis . The next day, his Cardinals outlasted Darian DeVries' West Virginia Mountaineers in overtime to reach the tournament's championship game.
Kelsey has another chance to make a statement today, when No. 6 UofL (7-1) takes the court at Gainbridge Fieldhouse against DeVries' No. 19 Hoosiers (7-1). The Cards are looking to bounce back from an "unacceptable" loss, as Kelsey put it, Wednesday at No. 23 Arkansas in the ACC/SEC Challenge .
"Luckily, we get to get back out there quickly and get a chance to redeem ourselves," Kelsey said. "Because we need to."
