Temperatures across Odisha have plummeted once again, ushering in a renewed wave of winter chill. In the past 24 hours, nine cities in the state recorded minimum nighttime temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius, with G. Udayagiri in Kandhamal district registering the lowest at a bone-chilling 5.6°C. Residents in affected areas are bundling up as the cold snap intensifies, accompanied by dense fog in several regions.

According to data from the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre, the cold has made a comeback after a brief respite.
