After a rough start to the season, the Toronto Maple Leafs are finally showing signs of life. They have put together three straight wins on the road and suddenly look more like the team many expected them to be. A big part of the turnaround has come from their offence, which has exploded for 16 goals across those three away games.

But Thursday’s 5-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes came with another setback. Woll, who has been one of Toronto’s most reliable players this year, did not finish the game. He started strong, stopping 22 of 23 shots through two periods before disappearing from the bench. Maple Leafs PR later confirmed he suffered a lower-body injury.
