This Day in History - December 6: Mahatma Gandhi bust unveiled in Nebraska

December 6, 2024 - A bust of Mahatma Gandhi was unveiled at the governor’s office in the Nebraska State Capitol on Dec. 6, 2024.

Several dignitaries were in attendance, including Gov. Jim Pillen, Lieutenant Governor Joe Kelly and Consul General of India, Prakash Gupta.

Gov. Pillen also proclaimed the day as “A Day of Remembrance for Mahatma Gandhi.”
