NYPD detectives are searching for a man who opened fire on a group of rivals during a brazen daylight shooting, but only hit an innocent 64-year-old woman , police said Saturday.
Victim Francisca Nunez was nearing the corner of W. 204th St. and Broadway in Inwood at around 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 24 when the stray bullet hit her in the buttocks, cops said.
The shot was fired by a young man in a black, fur-lined coat who police said was aiming at a group of males at the corner.
Cops recovered surveillance images of the gunman, which they released on Saturday in the hopes that someone would recognize him.
Nunez told ABC7 from her bed at Harlem Hospital, where she was in stable condition, that she saw dozens of teens dressed in black who were arguing when one of them pulled out a knife
