LONDON: Coincidences feel rare. But outside old Hindi movies, where estranged twins can suddenly find each other again in a crowded Bombay station, mathematically and psychologically coincidences are far more common than they seem. So, it's not surprising that the Cambridge Dictionary 's 'Word of the Year' is 'parasocial', and that a bronze Bridget Jones statue was unveiled in Leicester Square in the same week in November.
