KENORA — The OPP have identified the human remains of Mekhi Pelly Scott as part of an ongoing investigation into the resident's disappearance and death.
Scott, aged 21 of Grassy Narrows First Nation, was reported missing to the OPP on Oct. 26, according to a media release issued by the OPP on Friday.
The police said two individuals were arrested and charged in connection with the investigation.
Foul play was not ruled out in his disappearance, according to an OPP statement on Oct. 30.
The OPP's Emergency Response Team (ERT) located the human remains in the Washagamis Bay First Nation area on Nov. 26.
A postmortem examination later confirmed the remains to be those of Scott.
