The historic street known this time of year as Christmas Tree Lane escaped major damage from the Eaton Fire in January, and the annual lighting will continue this holiday season.

The Altadena Christmas Tree Lane Association’s Winter Festival begins at 3 pm Saturday at Mariposa and Santa Rosa Avenues.

The tree lighting begins at 6 pm on Santa Rosa Avenue, which will be closed to traffic until 9 pm, so people can walk through the mile-long lane of deodar cedars and Christmas lights.
