There’s something in the air this Christmas.
A hotel in England unveiled its mammoth 25-foot-tall holiday tree made of 100,000 balloons to create some jolly fun — and help a good cause.
Dubbed The Balloon Christmas Tree , the holiday creation stands outside Moor Hall Hotel and Spa in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, to spread holiday cheer and raise money for charity.
The all-balloon spruce, which is covered by a dome to ensure none of them pop, was assembled over five days by a group of 20 volunteers consisting of engineers, blowers and a design team.
Balloon artist Naomi Spencer, owner of Balloon Color Blending, came up with the idea — a labor of love.
Each balloon can be sponsored for $3.30 or people can purchase a memorial one for $13.19. For $165, they can buy one that’s branded.
