ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Two people were found shot to death inside a car on Friday night, Gwinnett County police said.
At around 10 p.m., officers were called to the 3200 block of Windscape Village Lane, where they found a man with a wound on his neck and a witness.
Officers were then notified about the two people in the car near Harbins Road and Harbins Point Lane in unincorporated Lilburn, which is less than a mile southwest of Windscape Village Lane. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the two scenes are related. A suspect, 54-year-old Javier Ruiz, was arrested by state troopers in Tennessee. He’s currently being held at the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office in Springfield.
