SOLDIER, Iowa (KTIV) - A boil advisory has been issued for Soldier, Iowa, due to the potential for bacterial contamination following a problem Saturday, Dec. 6 in the distribution system.

According to the City of Soldier’s community page , the Soldier Water Supply is recommending residents boil water before using it for drinking or to use an alternative water source. This is due to the potential for bacterial contamination.

The water supply says it is recommended not to drink the water without boiling it first.

“The system has been repaired, repressurized, and bacteria samples will be collected. This advisory is a precaution until bacterial sample results are available.” said the Soldier Water Supply.
