The Mariners are sending highly touted catching prospect Harry Ford and righty pitching prospect Isaac Lyon to Washington in exchange for lefty reliever Jose A. Ferrer , the club announced on Saturday.

Ferrer, 25, posted a 4.48 ERA with 71 strikeouts and just 16 walks in 76 1/3 innings last season, finishing in the 95th percentile in MLB in walk rate (4.9%) and the 99th percentile in ground-ball percentage (64.3%).

Ford, the 12th overall pick in the 2021 Draft, ranks as the Mariners' No. 4 prospect and No. 42 overall, per MLB Pipeline. Lyon, 21, posted a 7.30 ERA in four starts at Class A Modesto in 2025, his first pro season.
