LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Dozens of organizations paraded through the streets of downtown Lexington Saturday for the city’s annual holiday parade, one of the biggest holiday spectacles in the area.
The parade featured dancers, some familiar faces at WKYT, and even Santa Claus.
For some attendees, the event marked their first experience with Lexington’s holiday tradition.
Josh and Hunter Gillman got to take part after traveling from Alabama so Josh can attend Lockmasters training in Nicholasville.
“We’re missing our hometown Christmas parade, so I figured we’d come out and find something for them to do,” Hunter Gillman said. “Our Christmas parade lasts about 15 minutes, so we’re excited to see everything.”
Brittany Wright and her family also attended their first Lexington holiday parade
