TOLEDO — The Toledo Walleye came back from an early 2-0 deficit to defeat the Komets 5-4 in overtime in front of 8,104 fans Saturday at the Huntington Center.

After a tripping penalty was called on Komets forward Alex Aleardi with 32.6 seconds remaining in the extra period, Toledo forward Tanner Dickinson put a loose puck past Komets goaltender Samuel Jonsson to secure the victory.

Some nifty stick work helped the Komets get out to a 2-0 lead in the first. Forward Kirill Tyutyayev deked out Toledo’s Brandon Hawkins and scored on a backhanded shot for the first goal with 14:14 left in the period.

Komets forward Matt Miller scored his first goal of the season shortly after, nabbing a pass from defenseman Jalen Smereck and putting it through his own legs before doing the same to Toledo goa
