SRINAGAR : A forest fire erupted early this morning along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Balakote sector of Poonch district in Jammu Kashmir, triggering multiple landmine blasts in the forward areas, officials said. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

Official sources said that the fire erupted on the zero line ahead of the fencing in the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of the Indian Army. The blaze is believed to have originated from across the border.

During the forest fire, two to three landmines planted as part of the anti-infiltration grid detonated due to the rising flames. However, officials confirmed that no injuries have been reported so far.
