We've arrived at race day at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix . This afternoon, one of Lando Norris , Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri will win the 2025 Formula 1 drivers' title at the end of a nine-month slog including 24 Grands Prix and six Sprint races across five continents and 21 countries.

Verstappen has been here before. He was the victor the last time F1 saw its drivers' title decided on the final day, albeit in highly controversial circumstances back in 2021 when Lewis Hamilton was denied an eighth crown. The Red Bull racer has won every year since but comes into this finale not as the favourite to end the day on top.

That would be Norris, who enjoys a 12-point cushion over Verstappen and is 16 clear of McLaren team-mate Piastri. The Brit, bidding for his first F1 title,
