Owen Ramsingh’s battle to return home after being detained by Immigration Control Enforcement in September became unsettling for his friends and family last month after he was abruptly moved from Texas to New Mexico. .
Since his latest federal court hearing Nov. 6, his family has lost touch with him several times and recently learned of the move and its implications.
According to a Facebook post by Ramsingh's wife, Diana, he was shuttled from the El Paso Service Processing Center in mid-November. She said she discovered the transfer from the wife of someone else who had been detained.
In a separate post, she elaborated on the conflicting details. Ramsingh's lawyer had been told that he had returned to the detention center in El Paso, but in a Nov. 19 telephone call, her husband told her
