HELOTES, Texas — Our "Forgotten Friends" series showcases a dog or cat each week that has spent a lengthy time at an area shelter, just waiting for someone to notice them and bring them home to love.
This week’s Forgotten Friend is a seven-and-a-half-year-old terrier retriever mix named Robbie who was found as a stray and brought to the Helotes Humane Society five years ago.
"Robbie is a remarkable Pitbull Terrier with a heart full of love and an abundance of energy," said shelter staff.
He’s smart and shelter staff says that he picks up commands quickly.
"Robbie's versatility and resourcefulness make him a wonderful match for an active lifestyle, as he loves engaging in outdoor activities and exercise," said shelter staff.
