Several people injured after school bus carrying wrestling team crashes near Denver

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. ( KKCO /Gray News) - Several people were injured after a school bus carrying a high school wrestling team crashed near Denver.

Lakewood police said the bus and another vehicle were involved in a crash around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities said 14 people, including all students and coaches on the bus, were taken to nearby hospitals and that there were “multiple serious bodily injuries.”

Officials said students and coaches from Central High School were on their way back from a wrestling tournament when the crash happened.
