MADISON, Wis. -- No citywide plowing is expected in Madison on Sunday.
Trucks salted and plowed the main thoroughfares of the city through the night.
City plows will begin applying sand to the hills, curves, and intersections of residential areas.
The city reported there are over 200 miles of city-maintained sidewalks and pathways as well as over 1,000 bus stops that require snowplowing. Removing snow from those areas is a shared responsibility between the streets, parks, and engineering divisions.
Residents are still encouraged to drive slow especially in residential areas.
