"I swerved just in time," says Nathaniel Dowding.
Dowding, his wife Alyssa, and their four-month-old baby were heading southbound on I-75. As they were exiting right, Dowding and his wife saw the crash. The couple say they decided to pull over on the side of the road.

The driver, who deputies said seemed "impaired," had gotten onto I-75 southbound going the opposite direction while being pursued by law enforcement.
"As soon as [Nate was] getting off of the off ramp, before the what is it the barricade, we were like, literally right there." She decided to go check on the families and others involved in the crash.
