NJ Benson poured in a career-high 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds as DePaul rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to claim a 76-72 nonconference victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday night in Chicago.

The Blue Demons trailed for 19 consecutive minutes before going on an 11-0 run midway through the second half to regain the lead and deny UAPB its first win over a high-major team since Dec. 17, 2014, at Houston.

Kruz McClure scored all of his 17 points after halftime for DePaul (6-3). Layden Blocker and CJ Gunn added 12 points apiece. The Blue Demons went 29-of-41 at the free-throw line compared to 6-of-7 for the Golden Lions.
