These intruders picked a break-in strategy that might not be topped.

Investigators now believe that the intruders who broke into former NBA player Christian Wood’s rental home in November used a fake pizza delivery method to determine if anyone was home and before they allegedly attempted to get into the house.

According to a search warrant obtained by TMZ on Sunday, December 7, a Domino’s delivery driver arrived at Wood’s residence in Sherman Oaks, California, on November 5. Wood, 30, was home at the time, but did not answer because he was not expecting a pizza to be delivered.

The warrant says soon after the delivery driver left, three intruders broke into the residence through the back door. Wood allegedly fired three shots at the intruders, at which point they retreated in a getaway
