MANSFIELD--- Across three days of tournament play throughout Mansfield ISD, schools from across the state battled to lay claim to the title of Spring Creek Classic champions. When the main event came around Saturday evening, two of Texas’ best squared off in No. 1 San Antonio Brennan and No. 11 Little Elm.

Despite the Bears sporting six athletes at 6 foot 3 or taller, including 7-footer Delano Tarpley, as well as three players averaging at least 13 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal, it was the Lobos’ pack mentality that made the difference.
