BONANZA, Ark. — The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is investigating three deaths reported on South 1st Ave. in Bonanza as mourning family members search for answers.
A release from SCSO said that around 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 3, dispatch received a call about a welfare check. Bonanza Police Department and sheriff's deputies responded.
Two workers at the home reportedly helped law enforcement enter, where they found a woman and two children dead, each with gunshot wounds, SCSO said in a statement on Thursday, Dec. 4.
The woman was identified by family as 40-year-old Charity Powell, and the children as her 6-year-old twins.
SCSO said the bodies of all three have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
