Everyone remembers Ole Miss’s 45-10 blowout of Tulane in September. Most of all, the Green Wave remember it.
Three months later, the mental and emotional scars are still fresh from the embarrassing beatdown. And as counterintuitive as it might seem, the lopsided loss in Oxford is exactly why I think Ole Miss is the best possible matchup for Tulane in the College Football Playoff.
Don’t discount the Green Wave’s chances of upsetting the Rebels in their first-round matchup Dec. 20.
I realize the notion might seem outlandish, maybe even delusional.
