TRAVERSE CITY— The Salvation Army Traverse City Corps is launching its December “Matching Mondays,” giving donors a chance to double their impact at all 14 red kettle locations.
An anonymous donor will match all donations made on December 8th and 15th—both in cash and through QR code—up to $17,000.
During the final week of bell ringing, December 17th through 24th, an additional $5,000 will be matched every single day.
With a campaign goal of $275,000, the organization has raised $192,500 so far and said community support is crucial to funding food programs and emergency financial assistance for more than 15,000 people each year.
The Salvation Army is also calling for volunteer bell ringers at stores across the Grand Traverse region.
