For the third straight season, Jacksonville State football will be going bowling.

The Gamecocks (8-5) will be heading down to the Salute to Veterans Bowl on Dec. 16. Jax Sate will be up against its old rival Troy at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.

The Gamecocks are coming off a heartbreaking loss in the Conference USA title game after mounting a comeback in the fourth quarter. The Gamecocks fell 19-15 to Kennesaw State but went 7-1 in league play to host the game for the second straight season.

Troy (8-5) played for the Sun Belt title game and was also in the game late until James Madison ran way with 14 points in the fourth quarter.

"We are excited to continue our season and look forward to competing one more time in our home state," Gamecocks coach Charles Kelly said in a release
