BBC Countryfile presenter Matt Baker explored Britain's deepest cave system during Sunday's episode (December 7)

A Countryfile presenter found himself feeling 'worried' during a visit to an ancient cave featured on the BBC One programme.

The beloved BBC show made its return on Sunday evening (December 7), with Matt Baker at the helm.

In the episode, Matt and fellow presenter Sammi Kinghorn explored Bannau Brycheiniog National Park in Wales , where powerful water flows through valleys, sculpting the landscape both on the surface and beneath it.

Matt was accompanied by husband-and-wife duo Andy and Antonia Freem, members of the South Wales Caving Club, who collectively bring over a century of caving expertise to their expeditions.
