The police added, "Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious collision involving three vehicles on the A30 at Connor Downs, West Cornwall. A number of people are believed to be injured and are being treated by ambulance services." A full road closure has been implemented at St Erth Roundabout and the Hayle bypass while emergency personnel manage the situation. An eyewitness described the scene, stating, "The road is now closed. There must be a dozen police cars and half a dozen ambulances there now. It looks fair bad."
