Pitt has accepted an invitation to play in the Military Bowl to close out its 2025 season. The Panthers will face East Carolina, with kickoff from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md., slated for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27.

On Sunday afternoon, rumors swirled the Panthers would draw in-state rival Penn State in the Pinstripe Bowl, but it was instead Clemson that accepted the invitation to play at Yankee Stadium. Because it is affiliated with many of the same bowl games, Notre Dame’s decision to forgo a postseason game after being left out of the College Football Playoff delayed the announcements for ACC teams.

This will be the Panthers’ second trip to the Military Bowl, with the first coming in 2015. The Panthers lost 44-28 to Navy. Pitt went 8-4 in the regular season,
