LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A cold front is about to sweep through and bring breezy and colder weather to start the week.
Highs Monday will drop back to the mid/upper 50’s, and that will come with winds that gust between 15-20 mph. Skies will gradually clear before colder air moves in Tuesday morning.
Lows will likely drop to the mid 30’s down to I-10 and a few spots north of I-10 may get closer to the freezing mark. Frost seems to be a good bet north of I-10, and we’ll see how close to the I-10 freeway it gets. For folks in Vernon, Beauregard and Allen parishes at least, it’ll be worth thinking about protecting vulnerable plants.
